Troubleshooting

Problem: My internet is not working

Solution:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your router for 30 full seconds and plug it back in.
  2. Unplug the power cord of the small power supply that powers the transmitter outside from the wall outlet or power strip for 30 full seconds. It is a black or white rectangular box about 3 inches by 1 inch with a green or white light. (SEE PHOTOS ON THE RIGHT) On one end is the power cord that goes to the outlet and the other end has 2 square ports labeled "POE" and "LAN".
  3. You can press the reset button. Warning: pressing the reset button will reset all settings to factory settings which may change the wifi settings and disconnect your wifi devices!
  4. If your internet is still down then call 760-445-5260 for further assistance.

Problem: I installed a new router and I have no internet

Solution:

  1. Unplug the power cord of the small power supply that powers the transmitter outside from the wall outlet or power strip for 30 full seconds. It is a black or white rectangular box about 3 inches by 1 inch with a green or white light. (SEE PHOTOS ABOVE) On one end is the power cord that goes to the outlet and the other end has 2 square ports labeled "POE" and "LAN".
  2. Cables may be in the wrong ports. On the power supply (SEE PHOTOS ABOVE) there is a "POE" and "LAN". The cable that comes from the receiver outside goes into the "POE" and the cable that goes to the router goes in the "LAN". Note: the cable coming from the "LAN" port on the power supply goes in the "internet" or "WAN" port on the router.
  3. If your internet is still down then call 760-445-5260 for further assistance.

Problem: My devices won't see my wifi network

Solution:
Some routers have a dedicated button for turning the wifi on or off. For example the netgear nighthawk R7000 has this button located at the right end off the status lights. In fact it looks like it is just a light but it is a button. Holding it for 2-3 seconds will activate or deactivate the wifi. A good sign of the wifi being off is the wifi indicator lights will be off. Read through the user manual of the router or call tech support or call us at 760 445 5260 for further assistance.
