Problem: My internet is not working

Solution:

  1. DO NOT TOUCH THE RESET BUTTON!
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your router for 30 full seconds and plug it back in.
  3. Unplug the power cord of the small power supply that powers the transmitter outside from the wall outlet or power strip. (It is a black rectangular box with a green or white light. On one end is the power cord that goes to the outlet and the other end has 2 square ports labeled "POE" and "LAN".)
  4. If your internet is still down then call 760 445 5260 for further assistance.

 

Problem: I installed a new router and I have no internet

Solution:
Most internet providers assign an IP address to the router automatically. Our system does not. The IP addresses we assign you must be programmed into the router manually. They are referred to as "static" addresses. Each router has software where you manage the settings of the router. In this software is the "internet settings" portion. This is where the IP addresses get programmed. Instructions for these settings can be found in the user manual for your router or by contacting your router tech support or we can assist over the phone. When we first install a system we leave a business card with the specific customer's IP addresses. If you cannot find that card then call or email and we can give you your addresses.

 

Problem: My devices won't see my wifi network

Solution:
Some routers have a dedicated button fro turning the wifi on or off. For example the netgear nighthawk R7000 has this button located and right end off the status lights. In fact it looks like is just a light but it is a button. Holding it for 2-3 seconds will activate or deactivate the wifi. A good sign of the wifi being off is the wifi indicator lights will be off. Read through the user manual of the router or call tech support or call us at 760 445 5260 for further assistance.
